Recycling presentations and trainings
Presentations and trainings for staff and residents who would like to learn more about how to recycle, reduce bulky and hazardous waste, and find outlets to donate materials. Resources could include Recycle Guide, junk mail kit, reusable bags and recycling game.
Eat Smart, Waste Less presentation and display
Learn how to reduce wasted food and gain smart shopping skills, which also save money. Free materials include a shopping list and resources to properly store food.
Door-to-door outreach
Briefly chat with residents in one minute or less about recycling in the community. Tailor message based on property manager feedback on recycling needs.
Community events
Table displays, resources and engagement with community about a variety of topics including what can be recycled, how to reuse and repair household goods, and using green cleaners in the home.
Bulky waste reduction event
Plan a designated day for residents to take reusable bulky waste items, such as furniture and home goods and give them a second life. A list of local reuse centers is also provided.
Swap events or permanent swap table
Help plan and organize a material swap in the community. This is a great way for residents to get rid of small items. Plan a day or place a swap table or shelving in a community area such as the laundry or community room. People may drop off and take items as they please.
Newsletter content
We can provide content for community newsletters on requested topics such as recycling, where to donate items for reuse, and reducing chemicals and hazardous waste in the household.
General recognition
